Our school choir meet every Thursday evening from 3:15pm to 4:15pm.  We decide, as a group, which songs we would like to work on for the term and they rehearse these during the practice.  The children love singing a range of songs  such as Disney, pop songs, and songs from musicals.
We have had a very busy year and have performed at a number of concerts in different venues.  At Christmas time, the choir sang at the Civic Carol Concert at Temple Park alongside other schools in the borough as part of a solo and as a mass choir.  They also listened to a live orchestra. During Spring term, the choir learnt a series of songs from around the world, they participated in a work shop led by a professional singer and then sang in the Spring Sing at The Sage in Gateshead.  The choir also performed in an evening concert at our school alongside South Tyneside Orchestra and our own Samba Drummers and Violinists. This term, the choir are working towards a short, end of year performance.
Every choir member shows a huge commitment to the club, not only attending rehearsals but also practising at home.  They are all an absolute credit to our school.
