As part of a Christmas light switch on event at Boldon CA, 3 children from our school choir had the opportunity to visit West Woodburn Forest in Northumberland to choose a Christmas tree. After a quick Gazette photo at Boldon School, we travelled by mini-bus all the way to Otterburn along with some students from Boldon school and our Chair of Governors. The children then got to explore through the forest to find the perfect tree – the one chosen was between 20 and 30ft! After our walking, we then headed for some juice and sandwiches at a nearby cafe and even had some time to play in the play area. The children had a fantastic experience and will next see the tree on Friday 23rd November at the actual switch on of the lights when our choir are performing.
